british gas c1 combi boiler packed up , need advice

I had a BG c1 combi boiler fitted in 2000. Had been working fine until today. When I try to put the ch or hot water on the radiator led stays on , however the tap led stays on for about 5 seconds then starts flashing quite quickly. No sign of the burner kicking in and the burner led stays off.Tried reset but that doesnt seem to work. Any help in solving this would be appreciated. Local plumbers have a backlog. Took out british gas homecover last week but as is always the case, boiler packs up before I can make a claim. Like I said, any help and possible prices to sort this would help. Big thanks in advance
