As part of my kitchen wall I've got plasterboards attached to the breezeblock by 'dabs', which means theres a gap between the plasterboard and the breezeblock.
I've accidentally broken off a section of the plaster board about a foot long and three inches wide. Can i plaster over it, oe squirt foam into it or will the whole of the plasterboard have to be replaced?
Any help would be gratefully recieved

You could just patch a piece back in using a 'dab' of Drywall Adhesive and then skim it over with Finish plaster.

would expansion foam do the trick or is it hard to produce a smooth finish over it, ive got to put tiles over it when done.

i have used expanding foam, you can cut it with a knife or saw when completely dry, but dont touch it while wet

Using foam will do the job fine. If you cut it flush when it is cured the tile adhesive will bond to it no problem.
