Have any of you guys ever come acroos this? Today I went to turn the water off at an underground plastic stop tap.
Turned the plastic tap head off with just one hand on my long stop cock spanner... and the whole head broke off. Plastic fitting completely snapped off.
Bit of a panic and luckily Dan had his spade handy. Lucky I was able to turn the water off farther down stream...
Severn Trent use these as boundary stop taps. If this were to happen again, who makes them and can you buy the plastic innards to avoid the need to start digging?
