Hi all,

Hope you are well.

About 3 years ago we had our combi system converted to un-vented cylinder, I requested a new stop tap along with the renewal of the cold feed to 22mm to assist with flow.

They installed the stop tap below, I believe its 25mm to 22mm. The feed in is black plastic and then it runs 22mm after the stop tap.

Its difficult to turn off, I have to use pliers to get it to turn and when fully turned off it still seeps water through.

We're having the bathrooms renovated next year and as the connections will need renewing I think its good measure to have this changed out now.

What would people recommend as a better alternative to this?

I have called the installer but hes not answering my calls at this point.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Turn water off in the road then replace stop tap in the house.
If there is a problem in the road with tap the water company will sort for free.
You are responsible from road to house though in most cases.
