Broken toilet

My toilet is keeping me up at night as it keeps running, I understand a washer might be broken?!? I can't afford a plumber so hoping to fix it myself

That's a siamp float valve.more likely the rubber diaphragm has failed inside looking at the water level.

Thanks is the rubber diaphragm easy to repair?

The water level has been higher but my father in law did something to make it refill a bit quicker but with less water
