Brown mark on ceiling

My house has a bay window with a small pitched roof.
We only moved in over a yr ago, when we did we noticed a brown mark near the bay window so painted it.
It did come back but only slightly but with the last couple of wks and bad rain it has really gone brown now and is about 25 inches long 10 inches wide.
Can I fix this myself or do I need a roofer to have a look..

There's obviously a fault with the roof or flashing somewhere....can you post us a few pics?

I would say that provided the bay is on a ground floor room you should be able to tackle it. In particular tiled roofs with lead flashings are well within what you can DIY. I would not recommend first attempts on higher roofs.

As for the pictures Burnerman has asked for, the principle ones are to see where the stain is inside and to have a few of the roof above the stain from the outside.
