Hello

I snipped this from BT shop's website.

I must say it's a bit confusing to say the least.

The key to understanding the differences lies in deciphering the speed ratings (AC2600, AX3700, AX6600) of these beasts.

If you went on Amazon, you'd be forgiven for thinking the black disc on the right is just a different colour version of the one in the middle.

Am I understanding it correctly, though?

The middle one uses AX (WiFi 6) to talk to its neighbour discs, but you can't connect to it using WiFi 6.

Do the black ones allow you to connect to them using WiFi 6, assuming you have a compatible device?

I don't think the middle one uses wifi 6 at all. It just has a 3rd frequency that allows the discs to talk to each other and therefore increases the connection speeds and throughput.

I'd either go for the cheaper option (which i have had for a 4-5 years and works perfectly) or pay the extra for the wifi 6 option.
