I've got BT openreach fibre box that I'd like to change the location of.

Initial idea was to just run a cat5e extension cable from the existing location of the ont to the new one which id then connect to the router etc.

After a bit more research I've come across these fibre extension and relocation kits that allow you to move the ont.

Wondering if anyone has used one of these with good results and no reduction in connection speed?
The alternative is calling out BT to move the box, having to wait weeks for them to turn up and pay the extortionate price they charge
TIA

Actually on second thoughts does anyone know if it's possible to get something similar to this but with a female coupler on both sides so I can just extend the cat cable using a module face plate?

Link the ONT to Router using CAT6 cable. Plugs on each end as you don't need the flexibility of a patch panel.
