Bubbles (Physical Chemistry 2)

...following on from ColJack's post.

Can anyone work out why bubbles form on the inside of a glass of water if it is left overnight?

My knowledge on this subject, is that which I have learned in the last hour or so.
It would not be right of me to assume any expertise in this field.
But I will keep on learning, until the day I die.

I was thinking the air in the water became less soluble as the water cooled down overnight, so air came out of the solution and bubbles appeared.
