Hello, advice please.

Have just looked at a house for sale, built 1969.

Practically every window has large cracks inside, see photos.

Externally the lintel appears not to offer any support but I assume it is a boot lintel ?
One of four houses in a close, all house same construction.
Spoke to neighbours, they seem to be problem free.

In addition, the hallway had a large crack in the floor ("triangular" shaped according to the Estate Agent) that has just been screeded (hidden) over.

I canot see any obvious ground movement. External brickwork looks sound and geometrical.

Two things come to mind:

1. Is it just buggered lintels ?

2. Could it be subsidence ?

Should I run a mile ?

Remedial costs ?

My kids said, "Can't we knock it down and build a new one ?"

The Old Boiler was not impressed.

Regards

Phil
