Hello,

We want to install a log burner, so I've been cracking on with removing the plaster up to the Bathstone lintel.

The chimney appears to have been bricked up twice. To fully open do I just remove the infils below the lintel?

Thanks

Nice work Scruffy, you've done the job without any help.

A wire brush will clean up the brickwork, but you want more of a brass one than steel, either get the stiffest garden brush you can find.

What's your next step, and how far do you intend to take the job yourself. Are you going to take the rest of the plaster off.
