Hi all,

New to this forum and I am hoping I can get some advice. Having recently moved into our new home and having no need for the garage in the garden, I have been granted permission from the wife to build it into my own pub/bar.

What I would like to have is an approximate 8 foot bar. Behind the bar, I am hoping to have a counter with some shelves above it (Simmilar to what you would find in a pub but on a smaller scale).

Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get more information or diy info on such a topic? The main thing I want to do is keep the build simple and the price down. I wouldn't even know what wood to buy or use for the frame, etc... We are not looking for anything fancy.

Any information or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Andre

aha .. a pub ...lol
the best thing to do is plan an design it how you want on paper or use a C.A.D prog ...
how long , height , type of wood , finished surface /stain etc ..

I would start with the bar , using 2" by 3" timber making a frame for the bar ...then use a nice piece of wood for front, an top
use plenty of trim for fancy bits or use a router to do your own designs ,then stain it ...

I will have a nice pint of Stella when you done that ...;)
