The house has a converted loft with scant standing area. I want to adjust it with a dormer rather than the Velux already in situ. I need to find ber but cannot find it on the Wycombe Planning website. Any ideas where to find the plans? Thanks

Many folk often board out lofts, sometimes putting staircase access in. But the house is marketed and sold as a loft storage room. If it has a correct sized and positioned staircase, smoke alarms, fire-doors, insulation, fire access, correct sized floor joists etc.. then there's a chance it may have gone through planning and building regs. Even putting a velux in the roof requires you to check with planning.

And despite a velux being there, was it put in without planning, especially if it's on the back of the house? I would just wander down to your planning office and ask what they have on their system for your address and keep stum about the velux until you find out what's what.

Do you live in 1995?
No, I live in Cumbria and they're helpful. If you have a bad relationship with your planning and building regs authorities, then that's an issue for you to resolve. If you had conducted yourself in a polite manner, you too could have enjoyed a good working relationship with the planning authorities.
