Not sure if this is the place to ask advice about building over a public sewer, but hope I am right.
I am planning to build a 4m extension at the back of the house - permission due date next Monday 29th Sept (done under Neighbourhood Scheme). I have found that I have a public sewer going through the back garden at about 2.5m away from the house (2.5m on left side, about 2.8 on right side, basically at an angle). On the left side, just near the fence, there is an inspection chamber on the public sewer, where also the soil pipe of the house connects to. This inspection chamber would be right on the foundation for the new extension, so basically I need to move it and get a Build Over agreement with Thames Water and of course have a Full Plans app with BCO.
My questions are:
- is it possible take out the current inspection chamber, seal it and build further down the garden a new inspection chamber - but no water would go through that, it would just connect to the public sewer to provide a point of access? Is this right
- as the application for extension is due next Monday, I am ready to submit the Full Plans with BCO same day, but when should I submit the Built over Agreement app - same time, before or after Full Plans?
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated
thank you in advance
