Hi, I've tried searching for this, but I can't quite find the exact answer I need.
We are buying a new house which has previously had some alterations made to an internal wall. As far as I can tell, the doorway (which has no door or frame) has been extended so that the opening is the full height of the room, from floor to ceiling.
It is the internal wall separating living room and dining room. Can anyone tell me the correct way that this should have been done (so that the structure is properly supported) and does this require building regs permission?
Thanks,
Rob.
