Perhaps I have not explained this properly......we have a new build of retirement homes near us and there is a block of 4 flats next to an existing house. There wasn't much room to get the flats into the space so the build company who submitted plans have ignored the dimensions on the planning permission and built the flats so the eaves between properties is approximately 18 inches apart...is this legal.
There is no minimum gap. However if the build has not been built in accordance with the approved planning application drawings then there may be a breach of planning. How are you involved?
