Hi I'm after some advice regarding mounting a roller shutter onto a wall to provide secure parking on a hardstanding. I have attached a rough sketch of my plans.
My plan is to build a flat block pier tied into my existing garage wall using a firfix/wall starter. The bracket for the shutter will then be attached to this pier. For the other bracket I plan to build a wall of flat block which will then have a small return to which the other bracket will be attached.
The shutter is approx 4400mm wide and 2100mm high and is made by Gliderol. I would be grateful if anyone could give me an idea if this is acceptable as it is or whether its a job for a structural engineer to draw something suitable.
Many thanks
Tom
