Hi planning on building a bunk bed/ playhouse for my kids. Will hopefully be a fair size with a length of 2M and a height of 1.5m. Going to incorporate a slide to the side and have a set of stairs to the other side. The top and bottom floor will have a frame so that both mattresses are sat lower then the floor. This will leave a little extra space both top and bottom to add some carpet or something in. Planned to mainly use 70 X 45mm timber for the uprights and most of the cross supports with a few 195 x 45mm timber used for the added height. Will all be enclosed with 12mm mdf and using 12mm mdf for the floors aswell.
What would be the best method of fixing the supports, cross members, floor and sides that could be easily dismantled and re-assembled with out any major problems if necessary? Any advice on anything greatly appreciated
Thanks
Ali

12mm ply is usually more expensive than 18mm so may save money using 18mm .
Have a look at a few wood bunk beds in shops , will give you idea of construction methods .
