i plan on replacing my freestanding oven with a built in one as well as a new worktop. The problem is, the 600mm cabinet is too small to fit snug between the existing units and there will be a large gap either side (you can see where the filler panels are). I was planning on replacing the kickboard to give a nice clean streamlined look and not have these fugly panels either side. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

With the worktop off you may also be able to reposition the base units to suit. The shadows seem to indicate wall units above so it would be a question of moving the both base units towards the cooker to suit a 600mm cabinet and to keep the centre lines of cooker / wall unit gaps.

Make up filler panels for the gaps, that will sit at the same level as the doors.

make a box style wine rack to go down either side. Or spice rack etc

Looks like you could put oven unit in to one side the remaining gap looks like it may be around 100mm which is ideal size for a towel rack and handy for oven towel etc.

What about a 75cm wide built in oven? Would minimise the size of the filler strips required. Would work with a hob of the same size, or a 60cm hob if the extractor and cupboards above make a wider hob difficult.
