Bulk sand and rain

Hi,

I have a ton bag of sharp sand sat on my drive ready for laying some block paving. Unfortunately it was delivered late and now its been stuck in a day of rain uncovered with more on the way.

Question is, should I cover it to stop more rain getting in or am I best leaving it exposed to allow it to dry out before laying my drive ?
