Hi, I've been fitting a new bathroom suite and came to fit the shower screen over the bath, Using a drill bit designed for tiles I started drilling and towards the end of the third hole, the tip of the drill bit snapped off the bit. It dropped down and lay to rest in the bottom of the bath and started melting a hole in it, I did react quickly and watered it down but are left with a burn mark.
So does anyone know if an acrylic bath can be repaired?
My home insurance has an excess of £150 so it hardly seems worth it.
The drill bit is a Black and Decker and only did 5.5 holes before failing.
One last thing I did lookup how to drill tiles on this forum and followed the instructions of medium speed and medium pressure.
