Good evening all,

This new radiator has been recently fitted with plastic pipe feed (to be buried in the wall), which is joined to a short length of copper pipe by a push fit connector. Now, whilst I have nothing against push fit, I just want to make sure that the wall is 'made good' in the correct manner.

For example, would it be OK just to pack the void with filler before skimming over, or should I leave 'free air' for the connector to expand and contract a little I.e. hold a strip of plasterboard in place with a few dabs, scrim the joints and skim over?

Many thanks for your advice.

I don't like hiding these plastic joins but if I had to I'd put a strip of cardboard in front of the pipe to protect it before packing & filling.
