Hi forum - grateful of some advice please.

I have a conventional vented central heating system - fitted from when the house was built some 30 years ago. I want to change the rads in the bathroom and shower room for some nice modern column radiators. I have used an online BTU estimator for the two rooms and I get BTUs of about 1200. The rads that I have my eye on are 1700BTU and I am wondering if this will be a problem. The two rads I want to change are plumbed in to be on when the boiler is on so I don’t think I should fit TRVs. Will the higher BTU rating cause any issues.

Thanks in advance D

Thanks for reply / advice.
Have had a bit of a closer look in airing cupboard.
And I also have a bypass (15mm connection between the 22mm supply and returns) as well as the directly plumbed on two rads. So, I guess I’m ok to fit TRVs on these two.
Cheers D
