Hi I lost the power to my alarm and when I re-instated the power the alarm will not work.

I have checked the supply in main box and all seems ok.
I have checked the battery disconnected and have 13.3 volts on battery and charging supply of 13.volts.
The remote does not show mains supply even though I have 12 volts there.
The bell box keeps on flashing so I have disconnected the sense cable at the main control box and this stops it.
Not sure what the problem is but thought I would ask before I go out buying a new system.
Any help would be appreciated.

And the battery discharge test showed what?

13 volts means nothing, it is the charge held that counts.
Buy a new battery, turn off the mains. Fit the new battery and re-power.
It may need to be reprogrammed. But you could get lucky.

But, as per usual a power cut shows your battery is now insufficient to carry the standby times necessary.

Hi Alarm
Thanks for that, I did think that might be the problem but wanted
re-assurance. I was doing the right thing, I will be getting one first thing in the morning and then try again.
Thanks again

Try and buy one from a wholesalers if possible.
The likes of Maplin charge far too much.

A big thanks to Alarm, fitted new battery and system is now up and running
as normal. No programming or anything just ran as normal.
I will now be looking at this site more often.
Thanks Again

Hi Joe-90,
Didn't understand what you mean by saying about 18.5 volts.
Hope you don't mind explaining.
