Hi All

Not sure if it in the right three but here goes:-

I have a Cambridge Azur 640c CR Player. First problem was the cd tray was stuck, so after unsticking the tray mechanism and replacing the drive belt ( made a mistake by unscrewing a cog which led to whole cd tray action being disrupted!)

After fixing all the above I know get the error message " No Play"

Does anyone know what the problem maybe?

Many thanks

Usually that's some problem with the laser pick-up system. It could be as simple as a finger mark or bit of dust on the lens, or it could be the laser emissions are low.

Given that you've had the player apart already is it possible you've got a smudge of dirt on the lens? Try cleaning it.

Let us know how you get on with that before we look at more complex issues.

Have a look on Ebay to see if anyone is selling tray assemblies.
