Hi, I'm new to the site but had a question about the Camray wall mounted boiler here in the photo. We have just put an offer in on a house with this boiler mounted outside on the rear of the property and at this point have not had it looked at by an engineer to see if it is ok or not. Can any of you out there give me any details about these boilers e.g. what sort of dates/years where they fitted from and are they still viable etc. Any info would be very much appreciated.

Cheers
Steve

Boulter were bought out by buderus in 2003 who themselves were bought out almost immediately by Robert Bosch.
In UK that means Worcester.
A version of that boiler was available in 2005 yours could be older!
Assuming it still has the original reillo burner they are often date marked.

Thanks Exedon, do you know if they were deemed good at the time e.g. top end of the market or mid or cheap?

Boulter were highly regarded in there day fitted many of them particularly the floor stood camray range.
The wall mounted external was less common but back then very few external oil boilers were made,
Really needs hands on to assess condition but at its probable age will be in latter part of its life.

Boulter were awesome boilers.
Still have loads on the books.
As mentioned above, wall hung are less common.
Maybe ask if there is any service history.

Thanks again Exedon and rogue trader, I'll update re: service history etc. If we get to proceed with the house, your input is very much appreciated.
