Hi I have a damp problem on the ground floor height of a chimney breast.
There's an air brick directly above that area on the 1st floor.
Is it possible that rain is driving in and causing the damp ?
Maybe it should have a hood on it ?

Thanks

Rising, or flue condensation or a bit of both. The air brick should be lower, the plaster is now hygroscopic

Re plaster with special plaster ?
Seal with Thompson's water seal or similar ?
