Hello,
Whilst installing a floor in the attic of my 1950's former council house, I happened to run my hand down the gap between my roof and partition wall. I found what looks like a small leather wrist strap.
As there was no floor in the attic before, it would have been an awkward place for a previous owner to leave it. I can only assume therefore it was left behind by one of the men who built the roof.
What was it for? I assume it must have had some practical use, but what? Was it for protection, to carry something?
Can anyone here shed some light on this?
Cheers,
Ian
