Hi, appreciate its not cctv or alarms but in the process of buying a house that has this box next to the old intercom by the gates. Does anyone have any ideas what it is?

Then all it will contain, is the key operated switch and the wiring leading to the gate controls. Likely installed long before wireless access controls became the norm.
