Hi there,

We are getting a new boiler and I'm thinking about where the condensate pipe will run. The boiler is going to be mounted in an upstairs airing cupboard (about 1m above floor level) and one option is to run the condensate pipe down to the floor, then under the floorboards along the joists into the bathroom and then up 15cm or so to drain into the soil stack. This would be about a 5m run with no drop, other than the drop at the start of the run from the boiler. If this is OK, would the run be OK in a continuous length of 20mm mdpe plastic and would an air gap or tundish be needed at boiler end?

The only other option is an extended run outside in 32mm waste along the house and then round the side of the house to the soil stack, it will be a 6m run and can have a little fall to it.

Thanks!

It must fall all the way. You could fit a soakaway. Look in the M.I. for the spec.
