Am having huge ahem cash flow problems.
Basically sometimes when I turn the hot water on (twice a week for half an hour) the blue light starts flashing and it fails to continue heating water.
The 'engineer' came around and just turned the right side dial to the left and back to reset it, which was NOT mentioned in the manual. He couldnt reproduce the error, so what a waste of money. It happens 30% of the time atm.

Will it be OK to leave it for 7 weeks? BTW I have not turned the heating on for almost 2 years, except for when the engineer came recently and turned on the boost function which didnt help me at all.

The manual says that the flashing light could be due to:
.No gas supply/low gas supply pressure ▶ Contact your gas supplier.
.Condensate outlet blocked ▶ If it is safe to do so, check your condensate pipe outlet for blockages, such as ice or foreign objects.
.Flue blocked

Thanks!

which flashing light does it have? there are 3 types.
type1 normally off with a quick flash on
type2 normally on with a quick flash off.
type 3 fast flash
type 1 is gas / ignition.

type 2 is due to lack of servicing/ poor circulation( i would imagine this is the most likely especially as you say it isn't used for heating. )
type 3 fan issues
