Can i put gloss on with a roller

Hi, i want to paint the walls either side of my front door (outside) with white gloss and was wondering if you can put gloss on with a roller. If so, what type of roller would i use?

You can do it with a sponge one (gloss roller)

Or a fine mohair one.
