I'm looking to get my house plastered. I've got a couple of old radiators in my new house and a couple of new ones. I assume I am OK to take all of these radiators off myself for plastering?

If I get into complications, what is the worse that could happen and how do I mitigate against it please? (Very keen to understand as obviously trades starting to close down for Christmas).

Yes you can take them off yourself. Worst that could happen? - flood house and electrical sockets and switches. What system is it?

Thanks, its a combi system. Assume, worst case scenario - I could have buckets in case for whatever reason water floods out??

I was merely answering the worst case scenario :D. So a combi should be easier for access etc. The easiest way is to turn off both valves either end -noting the amount of turns for balancing purposes, open the bleed vent to make sure turned off and release some pressure. Undo a nut one side, and I try to cap the radiator inlet side, and disconnect the other end, and also cap. Remove radiator and drain water in a suitable outlet.
