Hi,
I am in need of some advice. I am planning to buy this property with the idea of removing a 100mm thick wall seperating the Bathroom and kitchen. It doesn't feel hollow but it is difficult to tell. Without looking into the ceiling i know it is difficult to tell but does anybody know the likelyhood of this wall being loadbearing - loooking at the width of the rear part of the building, the location of the wall and the fact its not straight (with a return) and the cut down in the ceiling - Please see photos. The flat is 1900 (year built) approx. Does anybody know if it is likely to have a purlin for the span or just rafters running side to side?
Please see "my images" for photos.
Any help would be appreciated.
