Can I test the ring

When seeing the Word "Part P" it always gets up sparks noses, so to see someone with this "qualification" consulting a forum for advice just seems to add to the frustration, that fully qualified electricians dont get the credit or authority they truly deserve.

To be honest i cant really give advice to many of the old timers as i have only just come out of my time, but reading the start of this forum post made me laugh and cry at the same time, in the fact that how the hell are people being allowed to modify/install electrical installations with such little knowledge on customers propertys never mind their own. The laws in this country are outrageous. I have studied Electrical Technology and worked on site constantly for the last 4 years becoming a JIB registered spark but i still dont qualify to work on domestic installations without taking my "PART P" exams...need i say more

I suggest before consulting the forums on your customers installations you get some proper qualifications and experience and work safely.
