Refurbishing a small bathroom. Putting a shower screen over the bath and planning to tile the two walls (at the side of the bath and the shower end). Can I tile directly onto the painted wall? The paint is in good nick and not flaking.

If the paint is in good nick, I would sand it to form a good key for your adhesive and if your using a cemnmet based adhesive the walls will need to be primed, I understand bal products are the best.
