hi all, ive been left to sort out a sliding gate track, the concrete breaks up every few months, and the actual track is now moving up and down when a car goes over it. Gate company have gone bust so im going to try to tackle myself, plan was to buy a new track, the guy there asked is it cemented down or bolted down, and the track is just cemented down. he recommended that the track might still be usable but will need drilling and bolts.
i was thinking m8 bolts and then some resin to hold it down, then cement to finish it off or even some tarmac to neaten the edges up
this would be the resin i was going for resin link on screwfix
Or would this type of bolt be a better idea, and then i use a plastic sleeve in the ground and then use resin in that.
concrete bolts
sleeves
would the resin bolts be enough, its block paving so sub base will be mot type 1 and then sand?
thanks
