Can I use three core and earth instead of 2 x twin and earth

Hi,

2 gang switch, each switch operating a different light.

I was running two lines of twin and earth to the back box when I found a length of three core and earth.

Can I connect the 2 com's of each switch together, and use the extra core for the other switch to run back to the main feed, instead of running two seperate twin and earths?

What is the objective you have? so you have a 2 gang switch controlling 2 lights are you trying to add a light remove a light add 2 way switching?

yes you can use one core as permanent live and link across to the other switch. The other two cores are then your 2 switched lives.

Don't forget to mark each core as LINE (with brown sleeving)
