Hi

Just removed a deadlock from a fire door and it’s an unusual size?

The case/depth is 76mm/3” but the backset is 44mm.

The only locks I am finding with 44mm backset are 64mm/2 1//2” ?

Anyone advise please.

Thanks

Don’t think you’ll find one, so will probably have to fill snd redrill.

I might have one

Please post some photos, and mark the dimensions.

Is it for a front door?

Does it need to be a BS lock?

Would a sashlock be acceptable?

It’s an inside deadlock
measurements are 76mm X 44mm as above. No

It’s a thick solid door. 44.mm min
What would recommend to fill a big area?
I assumed from your description that the existing drilled holes would line up with the 44mm backseat, leaving a half gap at tne back, and maybe extra height of the new lock to be chiselled out

So the height of the case is three inches, as well as the depth?

The centre of the keyhole spindle is 44mm from the fore-end. How far from the top and bottom?

Are you concerned about the size of the fore-end, or will you chisel it to fit?

In your photo the bolt looks unusually large. Is that significant?
