Someone Asked me for a rough quide how much for this.
I canno do it due to the certs required.

As I dont personally do this work I have no idea of cost, but simply ask COULD it be more than £500 .
That will be sufficient for them to decide.

I would say due to the testing etc, it possibly would, but I dont know

They only wanted the cooker supply installed , but the mains was such a state it really needs a new board etc to do so safely.

Three bedroom house with TN-S supply
There is no parking costs, or nothing like that.

1, Supply and wire to point for new oven/hob unit, load unknown assume one switch 45amp max, no socket.
oven/hob to be Fitted by kitchen fitters
Aprox 4 met run surface wired

2, remove 8 way and 4 way fuseboxes and fit 12 way minimum cu (wylex hager or mem or similar).
Wiring appears to be twin and earth

3 All mcb's and rcd's fitted so ALL circuits conform as required to 17th if any different to 16th.
*new cooker
*existing shower 45amp
*two seperate garage supplys
*two lighting, up 6a /down 6a
*two rings, up 32a/ down 32a
*aprox four unknown circuits (some power)

supply appears to be TN-S

4 fit earth block , earth gas meter aprox 2 met, earth water aprox 3 met

5 Replace metre tails (aprox two metres) and fit 2 pole isolator if necessary
Owner is concerned about breaking meter seal, so whatever involved to get board to reseal.

6 carry out any essential work needed , and any essential bonding required to allow the work to be carried out.
Possibly no supp bonding to one bathroom.

7 Test as required and provide relevant paperwork

Thanks in advance for any replys

Definitely over £500 if tested correctly (PIR prior then EIC after board change).

cant see it so cant quote it,personally i dont think i could bring that in at under 500 quid

Thanks lads
I was thinking £300 just the gear
+ 1 to 2 days possibly with assistance to do the testing

Last one I done 2 years ago I said £100 to fit the board
By the time I brought the gear I got £20.

Wont do that again
Part P benefits me as I can Get out of Favour jobs now without feeling bad.

Looks over £500 to me with a major caveat about extras found when testing.

He was just gonna change the small board himself, to get a spare way, it already has a shower on it tho (No rcd ) .

It only has single 10 mm feeding it, bodged in to the live side of the other board , that is fed with 10mm vir from the meter.
until I told him not a good idea.

He is getting some one to look, so I will find out what they say.

The cooker comes next week
Think he should have kept the gas one

Kitchen man said the switch can go in the cupboard
I always thought it had to be easily accesible
So hopefully he dont let him do it
I gave him my part p book so he has an idea what he will be paying for hopefully
