Hi,

Please can anyone help, i'm trying to get hold of 17inch white ceramic tiles, and have searched the net and many common stores, but have been unable to find 17x17x0.5 or 1700x1700x0.5 ml white ceramic tiles.

Does anyone know where i can buy these from?

It is an old size?

17inch is closest to 43cm when converted from imperial. actually 17inch is slightly larger than 43cm.

43cm tilies are available, but are commonly floor tiles.
If you need them for a wall, you can put floor tiles onto walls but you will have to make the wall is sound and will take the weight of the heavier tile and adhesive.
The maximum weight of tiling which can be supported by a dry, well-adhered plaster background is 20kg/m2, generally equivalent to ceramic tiles with a thickness of 8mm or natural stone tiles with a thickness of 7mm. When fixing directly to unskimmed paper-faced plasterboard surfaces the maximum permissible weight is increased to 32 kg/m2.

There is a manufacturer in Stoke-on-Trent called Johnsons you could try, I think they have a website.

ps: does the size have to be so precise?
