Can you get different bore sizes for 8 x 15 flexi tails?

I have two sets of flexi tap tails , both 8mm x 15mm. Yet on the same tap, there is more hot flow from one set than the other suggesting different bore sizes.

I thought the bore size was fixed according to the 8, 10 or 12mm monobloc thread?

I found a piece of 6mm round bar. It went inside one set fine, not the other.

Trying to gauge the approx difference in bore size. i.e was there some sort of difference .
