My buddy and I built this shed/shop in my backyard last week. I'm using it for a home business hobby shop. It's 16x31 with a 16 foot ceiling, spray in foam , Q5 sheetrock with no texture. (that was a big pain in my elbow) all trimmed and cooled with 2 of a.c. units and will be heated with natural gas if it ever gets cold in Texas again.

My question...
When I was younger I did things without research and hopes for the best.. We didn't have internet then either... And in my 50s I can't endure another 7 days of labor to build another so I want to do this right..

I want to carpet half and use epoxy on the other half were I will be doing work. I've read both ways. It's ok to paint the topside of treated plywood and I also see folks say it needs to breathe or it will rot. The foot is about 12 to 18 inch off the ground. It's seems it would be ok. But I want some opinions of pros. We have talked about spraying the underside in the future with foam also...
Any help will be very much appreciated.

With clear cuprinol you can paint over.
I think the minimum time from application of the preservative before painting can commence is 48 hours.

Can you please tell me the difference from just painting on the wood direct? Is it the paint won't stick?
My concern is I've read the wood will rot if I paint it with anything.
