Can you recomend some shelves for me?

I need some shelves to store my records on, they need to be able to take quite a bit of weight (well above 50KG per shelf). be no more than 90cm wide and around 30cm deep. have a gap of 30cm between shelves and have at least 4 main shelves and a top shelf. Also need to be fairly cheap and available in the uk (B&Q or argos would be nice)

Can anyone suggest any?

I would do but between work and looking after my 10 month old son I dont have time to make some from scratch.

I would still make them myself if i were you, all be it slowly (as and when) becuse then you know they will hold the weight, its not so much the sheves but the supports and the wall that will be the problem

2 new 13ft scaffold boards chop one in half 6ft 6"
chop the other into 5x770 or 4x990

bottom shelve 4" off the floor albums in plastic covers are around 13" [330mm] second shelve 350mm above 3rd 350 4th 350 fifth 350 sixth 350

boards are around 38mm thick so each shelve adds 380mm to the height plus 9" above the sides at the top shelve if you want to hold records on the top

secure together with 4x 4" no12s or 6x100mm metric
affix top back to wall or 6mm ply as a back

with 2 boards youll get 4 shelves and a top at 760 shelve length
or 4 shelves of 990mm without a top

a further board will allow 2 more shelves [7ft11" x990 length shelves approx]

get your woodyard to cut the components to size total cost around £60
assembled in around 2hrs
