Hi all,
Re-plasetring my kitchen (its back to brick) and using plasterboard adhesive I have stuck down a strip of 12.5mm board, floor to ceiling, to cover the chase where ive sunk the radiator pipes.
The problem i have is, its a small kitchen, and every 0.5cm matters. The 12.5mm board thickness, along with 10mm thick for the adhesive, has made the room 1cm too small to get all the cupboards and appliances fitted in without reducing a cupboard size.
If i rip the board down, and re stick using 9mm board with a very very thin sliver of adhesive, can I then screw the board to the brickwork to support the adhesive and stop the board coming away from the wall? This will be hidden behind the fridge and skimmed over.
Thanks
