Used to do them on the camp fire when I was a kid.

Slit down their length, chocolate buttons inside, wrapped in tin foil. About 15 minutes in the embers or on the BBQ.

Yup; haven’t done them for many, many years but it was always a healthy option desert for the kids & they loved em after all that beef burger crap  . I used to do them in the skins as CHM but Inky Petes chocolate buttons version sounds good & another slant is a drizzle of Tia Maria.

Also a good one for the kids is BBQ’d marsh mallows; we used to do them after all our camp fire BBQ's on the river & they loved em, especially if you let them DIY on a kebab stick after it’s all died down & it lets them get involved. You don’t need much heat so make sure it’s not life threatening &, obviously, age, strict supervision & caution is always the byword. ;)

Well, we tried them, may have been the booze but they were lovely!
Wrapped in foil, left on coals for about 15 minutes, (I think, hic! ), then topped them with various toppings, (ice cream, strawberry/chocolate, crushed peanuts etc), went down a treat.
Thanks lads.
