I am trying to get insurance cancelled from one quote today, I got insurance on friday but the ****s gave me some jargon about the underwriters have to check or summat.

Anyone know what charge I'm looking at?

They have took out £183 from my account for a upfront payment  .
I probably have lost most of that by sounds of it.

don't really see why mate, we've just renewed house insurance (on line) with Churchill and it says 'Your policy comes with a 14 day cooling off period'.....
Maybe yours is the same?
John :)

It does have 14 day cooling off period but in the small print it also states

that there is an admin fee of 50quid and any days of cover expired etc.

so With the weekend and maybe 3/4 days extra I'm not getting mucho change from the above amount by the looks of it.

I cancelled my debit card today in the hope the payment would'nt go out but alas....

Shoot, mine says 'without any penalty, unless a claim has been made'.
I'd be throwing myself at their mercy - a long established reliable customer etc and see what they can do.
Be lucky!
John :)

Thats an idea  but the people at the other end do'nt care if your reliable nowadays , they just want your money.

ProbABLY TRY YOUR ADVICE AND BE THE 'GOOD LOYAL CUSTOMER'.

Sorry for shouting the caps locks went on :D

Re custome loyalty, I have just witnessed a new trend. I had an email from Tiscali saying that if i signed up for another 18 months I could have 3 months at half price - the laugh is that I wouldn't have known that my contract had expired if they had not made the offer :D
