Candle wax spilled on carpet.

Any ideas on how to remove about a dessert spoonful od dark green candle wax that has been spilled into the pile of a pink carpet?

Hot water won't melt the wax!! AAAARRRGGGHH!

Place brown paper over it.
Iron it carefully.
Paper will soak up wax.
