Candy Aquaviva sticks before the spin

Hello all.

My Candy Aquaviva 1300 (washer only) seems to go through wash cycles ok, but sticks immediately before the spin. If you do nothing more than turn the power on and off it then goes on its merry way and spins out. Any suggestions please?

Check for badly worn motor brushes.
