Candy cd 2012 Dishwasher

Hi,

I have a 4 year old fully integrated candy dishwasher - CD2012

At the start of the programme (I usually use P1) the dishwasher fills with water and seems to be working as it should.

The problem arises when it starts to pump out the water. It pumps out alright, but it doesn't stop, even when all the water is pumped out! It gets stuck at this point and doesn't move on. I've tried using other programmes but the same thing happens.

This happens 8 times out of 10, so I check the arms are turning freely, I check the filter and I reset the programme and I start the dishwasher again.

Eventually this will get the dishwasher to work through the cycle, but it might take a few goes at doing this.

Has anyone any ideas what's wrong

If the drain pump runs continuously it usually means there is a leak & water on the baseplate has activated the anti-flood protection. Lean the dishwasher forward (have some old towels ready). If water runs out then you have found the problem. Once the water is out you should be able to restart the machine, however that still leaves you with a leak to track down.
